Summer 2024 Plant.id Model Update
The Plant.id model upgrade resulted in significant improvements in accuracy. It reached over 85% accuracy in the first response (TOP 1). The increase is greatest for European and North American plants, with 6.0% and 3.6%, respectively.
Admin panel - new enhancements
In our efforts to introduce new features that cater to your clients and enhance their experience, this time we directed our focus towards you, our valued customers!
Suggestion filters: create custom species lists
Plant.id now allows plant species to be filtered by various criteria such as geographical distribution, morphology, ecology or practical use. This increases identification accuracy and confidence in the model.
Crop.health: curing crops, empowering farmers
Discover our new product for crop disease and pest identification. Intergrate crop.health and identify over 300 crpo diseases with breathtaking accuracy.
Updated T&C and SLA Revamp: Faster Responses Guaranteed
We've revised our Terms and Conditions to enhance data privacy, streamline licensing, and ensure compliance with European regulations, effective from July 1st, 2024. Additionally, our updated Service Level Agreement now provides faster and more efficient service delivery.
Kindwise meets large language models
We started looking for synergies between our narrow ML models and LLMs. Let's play with this together on our demo 🙂
The Plant Identification Battle: GPT-4 vs. Plant.id
Multimodal Large Language models have recently made it possible to identify various objects from images, including plants. This became a competition for narrowly focused neural network models, such as that of Plant.id. Here we compare the accuracy of these models by focusing on the proportion of wrong answers.
Plant.id excells in urban forest biodiversity study
Plant.id emerged as the leading application for the automatic identification of tree species, outperforming other methods in accuracy and efficiency.
API Search for plant/insect/mushroom details by its name
Our endpoint allows our clients to search through huge botanical, fungi or insect database by latin name or common names to get various species info
We went through an external security audit
Just a friendly remider for you that we care about security.
Unearthing the Journey: Rock.id API
Discover our journey with rock and mineral identification API. Read about the challenges faced and decisions made throughout the process. It has been a process of discovery and learning. The project is currently on hold but remains open for potential future development. Interested parties can contact the team at support@kindwise.com for access to the internal demo or to share ideas for improvement.
Elevate plant identification with varieties
As the world of houseplants and ornamental varieties continues to flourish, many people now seek more than species identification. Our new 'Varieties' model responds to this demand and offers you a unique opportunity to gain a competitive advantage by enabling the identification of almost 1,000 plant varieties.
October Plant.id upgrade
We have upgraded the Plant.id model, increasing the number of classes from 33,325 to 35,756. The new version, released in October 2023, shows significant performance improvements over the previous models, especially in Europe and North America.
Major Plant.id model upgrade
We boosted the number of classes from 12k to 33k and increased the accuracy!
Weed and crop identification for a weeder
We have recently paired up with a bunch of companies from Czechia to work on a smart weeder.
Meet the new Mushroom ID!
The new API can identify 3,100 species of fungi (including lichens and related organisms such as slime molds) and includes enhanced information that has been carefully selected and prepared based on the needs of people interested in mushroom identification.
Do The Different Light Conditions Have An Influence On Plant.Id Identification Accuracy?
Plant.id is an API that identifies plant species and diseases from photos with machine learning. Send us images of your plant and get the possible suggestions with plenty of other information including representative images of the species.
Insect.id API beta release is here!
The new API enables you to identify species of terrestrial invertebrates, including insects and spiders from images using a machine-learning model. It is easy to use and we already love how it works.
We Can Estimate The Yield In An Apple Tree Orchard
We have developed a machine learning solution that can identify and quantify flower clusters from photos. This idea came from a Polish farmer’s need for apple yield estimation.
Use Plant.Id Demo As An App
The primary purpose of Plant.id is to provide a plant species and diseases identification API. To make it accessible to non-programmers, we created a web demo, which you can try at https://plant.id/ website.
Health Assessment Production Release
Let us introduce you to the first production version of Plant.id Health Assessment. During the last year, we have been collecting feedback on the beta version of our plant disease identification API. Moreover, we have expanded our datasets and deepened our understanding of machine learning-powered plant disease identification.
